Tips for long lasting roses in the vase

  • Fill a clean vase with plenty of cold tap water and feed for cut flowers
  • Remove the leaves from the part of the stem that will be under water
  • Using a sharp knife, diagonally cut off the last 2 to 3 cm of the stem
  • Avoid placing the roses in draught, bright sunlight, next to a heater or near fruit
  • Give the roses extra water during the first three days, as this is when they need plenty of moisture
  • The roses can be enjoyed for even longer by refreshing the water and adding more flower food after a week, and diagonally cutting the end of the stem off
